Canton Clay Works and the Community
CCW is excited to annouce a spring full of new community outreach programs. Thirty Middle School students from Sedgewick Middle School, West Hartford will be participating in a three day workshop- "Exploration in Raku Firing." These students will have the opportunity to make vessels, using hand building techniques. They will also be instructed in the application of Raku glazes in preparation for a full day firing workshop at CCW.
Numerous art teachers from Farmington and Watertown will visit CCW this spring for two different Professional Development Workshops covering topics from alternative firings to construction techniques. We look forward to sharing our facility and knowledge with these new students.

ARTISTS IN NEED OF HOUSING: DO YOU HAVE A SPARE ROOM?
CCW will be bringing numerous renown ceramic artists
to Canton for our upcoming workshop programs. We will
be seeking overnight accommodations, primarily
weekends, for all of our visiting artists. We will
also be looking for housing for our interns, as well
as year round accommodations for our new
residency/employee. If you or someone you know could be helpful in hosting
